Before AI or personal computers were an aid to founding a small business there was an idea. In 1975, without a written business plan or "mission statement" Champlain Leather was opened to the public on Cherry Street in Burlington, Vermont. With the dedication of manufacturing and merchandising handmade leather goods, the original notion remains to this day. It is the reason our doors stay open to the customers who appreciate the personal touch they receive with our products, expert repair work and alterations. The journey that began over a half century ago will continue so long as we can remain true to our clients and our craft.
